You are missing the point of my article. It certainly is possible to be unsafe in a poor neighboorhood and if you're wealthy, then you can get attacked no matter your sex/gender.

I also didn't say that men are never the target of violence. However, men don't have to worry about women lurking in the streets or following them. Women don't honk at men or make unwanted comments about their outer appearance. Men might get robbed if they were headphones in a dimly lit streets. Women fear being raped or sexually assaulted. That's not quite the same thing
