I totally understand what you mean by armchair critics.
Rachel has started writing her own poetry, however, she hasn't done it for very long. When she reached 200k subscribers on YouTube, she made a video, reading some of her poetry. She titled her video "My Poetry is BAD", saying that it wasn't fair to title all of her videos X's and Y's poetry is bad, ripping apart other writers and then expecting everyone else to praise her work. She said she knew some people would rip her apart. And I actually really appreciated this statement.
I can completely understand though if people don't want to watch her content because it drags them down. I've been kinda paralyzed to write anything after watching a video of hers but it also showed me how sensitive I've become to criticism and how much I fear it. So that's an area I want to improve on. I think for me (as a writer) it's important to be able to deal with criticism and not let it paralyze me. I also try to remind myself that it's okay if some people don't like my work. It might feel like the end of the world but it really isn't
